- November 2006: The Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) Committee is pleased to release the Draft proposal for Minimum Energy Performance Standards for Home Entertainment Equipment. The report covers commercially available consumer equipment that produces, records or assists in producing an audio or video signal/output but excludes televisions and set top boxes which are being considered for separate regulation. The E3 Committee seeks comment from any interested stakeholder by Friday 9 February 2007.
- November 2006: Australian Ministers announce a mandatory 1 Watt standby target for all electrical appliances for Australia by 2012. See Press Releases and News below.
- November 2006: Standby store data, which has been collected from retail stores over the period from 2001 to date is now available for download - this covers to 6500 products. Registration is required to access the data.
- November 2006: The Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) Committee is pleased to release the Draft proposal for Minimum Energy Performance Standards for Home Entertainment Equipment. - October 2006: The Equipment Energy Efficiency Committee and Australian Gas Association (AGA) and the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association of Australia (GAMAA) hosted a Gas Forum - Domestic Gas Water Heaters for gas industry stakeholders on the 30th October 2006 in Melbourne. Documents for comment are now available from the Gas Forum events page.
- May 2006:
Letter from the E3 Chair (31/5/06) outlnes the proposal to include standby power in the energy ratings of clothes washers and dishwashers. Comments are open until 30 June 2006 on the RIS - inclusion of standby power in the energy ratings of clothes washers & dishwashers which is now available for download from the electronic library.
- September 2005: Notice of early adoption of increased MEPS for single phase airconditioners from 1 April 2006.
Letter from the NAEEEC Chair (Sept 2005) outlines the proposal considered by Energy Ministers for the revised MEPS date for non-ducted single phase air conditioners less than 7.5kW for household use. It also provides a summary of the MEPS levels. The
letter dated 19 January 2006 confirms that MCE have now agreed to the proposal for MEPS to commence on 1 April 2006.
- October 2005:
E3 in the 21st Century - The National Appliance and Equipment Energy Efficiency Programme (NAEEEP) has been changed to the Equipment Energy Efficiency Programme (E3). In line with this change, the National Appliance and Equipment Energy Efficiency Committee (NAEEEC) is now known as the Equipment Energy Efficiency Committee (E3 Committee).
