The Basket of Products survey is the key component of the Alignment of National Standby Power Approaches Project and has been designed to enable consistent collection of data on standby power, resulting in a representative set of standby measurements. This report provides the results of the early data collection in Australia, Canada, India, Korea, New Zealand and the United States. The data presents comparisons between countries for the 14 targeted products and includes the latest time average standby power consumption for Australia from 2001 to 2008. The international comparison data is indicative due to the small sample sizes and should be cited as indicative if used in other studies.
Further information and graphs showing the outcomes of the Alignment of National Standby Power Approaches Project can be found on the standby data page.
