GEMS registration

Continuous improvement in the delivery of services is always a focus for the GEMS Regulator and the Energy Rating Team. Clearly these efforts are paying off.  Overall satisfaction reported by stakeholders in the recent GEMS survey was up seven per cent on last year’s result!

The team is currently analysing the survey results and more details will be provided in the next newsletter. But it’s likely that this result, at least in part, reflects the team’s commitment to reducing the time it takes to approve applications for registration, improving the registration database and developing better guidance material for registrants.

  • Average registration approval times for products decreased from 3.5 days in 2015-16 to 3.1 days in 2016-17.
  • Improvements in the registration database and online content have seen the number of enquiries decreasing from 1100 in 2015-16 to an estimated 750 in 2016-17, while registration numbers increase.

Of course, stakeholders don’t need to wait for the annual survey to provide feedback to the team or make suggestions for improvement.
