Talking with industry stakeholders

As one of a trifecta of firsts, the E3 Program staffed a booth at the SPARC-FMA International Lighting & Facilities Event, held for the first time in Sydney’s magnificent new International Convention Centre in May-June 2017.

The event, held every two years, also heralded a new partnership between Lighting Council Australia and the Facility Management Association. This was the first joint-hosting of the southern hemisphere’s largest exhibition showcasing the latest innovations in facilities and related technologies and smart lighting.

The exhibition hall was brimming with technology in 90 exhibits, from virtual reality walk-throughs to the latest in smart lighting controls and kitchen/bathroom equipment. The E3 booth enjoyed a steady stream of visitors and enquiries.

The E3 Program lighting efficiency team shared time on the booth with learning about the new lighting and energy efficiency technologies on display. The event provided an excellent opportunity to spread the E3 message, particularly around the new E3 lighting proposals including the draft Minimum Energy Performance Standards for LEDs.

It was a great opportunity for E3 Program staff to engage directly with industry stakeholders.
