  • Since the phase-out of inefficient incandescent lamps was announced in 2007, Australian imports of mains voltage incandescent lamps have decreased by 90%!  Imports have dropped from 90 million lamps in 2006, to around 20 million in 2009, and to only around 9 million in 2013. See graph
  • Minimum energy performance standards for lighting are estimated to save 2.6 terawatt-hours of electricity each year in Australia, equivalent to the total annual electricity consumption of 150,000 homes.
