September 2005 Notice of early adoption of increased MEPS for single phase airconditioners from 1 April 2006. Letter from the NAEEEC Chair (Sept 2005) outlines the proposal considered by Energy Ministers for the revised MEPS date for non-ducted single phase air conditioners less than 7.5kW for household use. It also provides a summary of the MEPS levels. The letter dated 19 January 2006 confirms that MCE have now agreed to the proposal for MEPS to commence on 1 April 2006.
October 2005 E3 in the 21st Century - The National Appliance and Equipment Energy Efficiency Programme (NAEEEP) has been changed to the Equipment Energy Efficiency Programme (E3). In line with this change, the National Appliance and Equipment Energy Efficiency Committee (NAEEEC) is now known as the Equipment Energy Efficiency Committee (E3 Committee).
