Limitations of the data
While data is indicative, there are limitations with respect to individual readings, which must be considered by users of the data.
- Simple meters were mostly used - these usually have good accuracy (but there may be some exceptions)
- No regulation of voltage or test conditions, stability uncertain, TV picture varied
- Product behaviour not monitored for a long period - product not fully understood with repsect to power management (eg temporary modes we not recorded)
- Sometimes remote controls not available so some modes could not be activated for some products
- Some products of interest usually hard to access (locked up for security).
