Supplementary Information for Australian Standards
Products regulated for energy efficiency
This page has information on sourcing test materials, supplements for published standards, administrative circulars and independant test laboratories for those products regulated for energy efficiency in Australia. It is regularly updated with the latest information.

Test Materials for a range of standards - this is a PDF file (right click the link and "Save Target As" to download onto your local computer) (more detailed information is provided below);
List of NATA Accredited labs in Australia - these labs can test to the relevant standards for products which are regulated for energy efficiency in Australia;
Swatch Normalisation Curves (version 33 released 23 June 2008) for AS/NZS 2040 clothes washer soil swatches AS9 - this is a Microsoft Excel file (right click the link and "Save Target As" to download onto your local computer). This file contains a complete list of all batches listed below;
- PLEASE NOTE: Some of the batches approved below are incorrectly marked on the base material. Please ensure that you state the batch number clearly when ordering it and keep a track of the batch and use the correct calibration curve;
- Notification from Standards Australia regarding the use of
AS9 swatch batches 031 (marked as 034) and 032 (marked as 035); (batch 033 (marked as 036) will not be assessed for approval until mid August 2008)
- Notification from Standards Australia regarding the use of
AS9 swatch batches 034A, 034B, 035 and 036;

Note that while the test loads items for clothes washers and clothes dryers are harmonised, laboratories should maintain separate loads for clothes washer and clothes dryer testing.
