Dishwasher factsheet for retailers and tradies

The Whitegoods Efficiency Trends report documents changes in the energy efficiencies and attributes of whitegoods (domestic fridges and freezers, dishwashers, clothes dryers and clothes washers) that carry an energy rating label and were sold in Australia from 1993 to 2014 inclusive.

All product types have shown improvements in energy efficiency over the study period. This report supersedes the Greening Whitegoods report, published in 2010.

This report presents the results of the market surveillance of models of GEMS products conducted between 1 January and 30 June 2015. During this period, GEMS inspectors attended retail stores across the central business districts and suburban areas of QLD, SA, VIC, and the ACT and surveyed:

  • air conditioners
  • clothes dryers
  • clothes washing machines
  • dishwashers
  • refrigerators/freezers
  • televisions

The report also clarifies some registration and labelling queries in relation to compliance responsibility.
