Peak body’s recommendations

The Energy Efficiency Council (EEC), Australia’s peak body for energy efficiency, cogeneration and demand management, has launched the first edition of the Australian Energy Efficiency Policy Handbook.

The Handbook sets out the EEC’s evidence-based policy recommendations that support Australia meeting its 2030 energy productivity target.  The recommendations address cross sectoral and sector-specific policies relevant to energy market reform, appliance energy efficiency and building energy efficiency.

The EEC has also released 2016/17 policy priorities that it considers should be the focus of governments around Australia over the coming year.

Further information is available on the EEC’s website.
