In response to numerous requests, industry members who produce EPSs that qualify for the Mark VI high efficiency standard are now able to register their products as such. The revised External Power Supply (EPS) Determination 2014 to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Act 2012 (GEMS) has been registered and came into force on Wednesday, 26 November 2014.

This declaration is voluntary, and there will be no system validation to determine if a product meets Mark VI parameters, however, the GEMS compliance team may check test EPSs that claim Mark VI efficiency.

The place on the registration form to declare Mark VI high efficiency (if a product meets the Mark VI requirements), is on the "Registration Type" page, in the dropdown menu entitled "What is this application for". There will be found the new option "High Efficiency 2014 (Mark VI)".
