A fine (FOOD) start to communicating commercial refrigeration regulation changes

Between 10–13 September, representatives of the Australian Government’s Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) Regulator and New Zealand’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) will be attending the Fine Food Australia exhibition in Melbourne.

Fine Food Australia is a large trade exhibition for the food industry; showcasing general and specialty foods, catering and hospitality equipment, retail fitout and design, and a range of other food related industries. GEMS and EECA representatives will engage with visitors providing information about proposed regulation changes for commercial refrigeration, including how to register products and complying with obligations under the GEMS Act 2012 and New Zealand’s Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002.

For further information about the changes you can read the Decision Regulatory Impact Statement released in November 2017, and/or the implementation update released in May 2018.

If you supply or use commercial refrigeration products you can see us at the exhibition: Department of the Environment and Energy (GEMS Regulator) – Stand HL37.
