New Auto-Label Generation Facility Available for Labelled Products

The Energy Rating Product Registration System (the Registration System) now has a new functionality that automatically generates an Energy Rating Label for a labelled product.

The automatic generation of labels reduces the burden on registrants and eliminates the need for registrants to engage designers outside of the system to create or change labels, saving time and money.

This new functionality allows registrants to select an option to have the Registration System generate an Energy Rating Label for their product, instead of manually creating and uploading a label.

The new functionality can be applied to all labelled products, which include clothes washers, clothes dryers, dishwashers, televisions, refrigerators, freezers and computer monitors. When prompted, the system will generate a print-ready label based on the information a registrant provides in their application. This functionality already exists for Air Conditioners to generate the Zoned Energy Rating Label (ZERL).

We encourage registrants to make use of the new auto-label generation facility but advise that it is not mandatory. Registrants may continue to manually create and upload labels if they choose to.

Step-by-step instructions on how to generate an Energy Rating Label are available here.

As always, we would appreciate your feedback on improvements we seek to make. Please contact the Energy Rating Team if you have any questions about creating an auto generated label.
