On 28 March 2025 the government assumed a Caretaker role. Information on websites maintained by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the conclusion of the caretaker period.

Comparative Technology Method Evaluating the Performance of Hot Water Systems

The Commonwealth, on behalf of the Equipment Energy Efficient (E3) Program, requested views from stakeholders and interested parties on a discussion paper outlining the proposed method for evaluating the performance of hot water systems. This can be used as the basis to support E3 program and a trans-Tasman water heater database as part of the E3 Hot Water Project. The consultation closed on 1 March 2021.
