Consultation: Residential Space Heaters in Australia and New Zealand

A photo of an old bar radiator heater turned on, the heat elements glowing red in a dark room

Space heating accounts for around a third of residential energy use in Australia and New Zealand. Labelling can support consumers to compare products and make more informed decisions to best meet their heating needs.

The Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) Program is seeking feedback on the Product Profile: Residential Space Heaters in Australia and New Zealand. The material in this product profile, and the feedback received on its contents, will provide the foundation of information about the space heating market in Australia and New Zealand. This will inform the development of policy options and technical frameworks for a space heating energy rating labelling scheme and supporting tools.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm AEST, Monday 5 July 2021. See Consultations Residential Space Heaters in Australia and New Zealand for instructions on how to make a submission.
